| Profielschets | Het Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen (KIT) is een kennisinstituut dat zich inzet voor een inclusieve en duurzame wereld. Het instituut heeft een campus in Amsterdam en werkt wereldwijd samen met partners om mensen en gemeenschappen te versterken en positieve veranderingen te stimuleren. KIT richt zich met name op het ontwikkelen van kennis en vaardigheden bij professionals die werkzaam zijn in de gezondheidszorg en andere maatschappelijke sectoren. Een belangrijk onderdeel van het werk van KIT is het aanbieden van masteropleidingen, zoals de Master of Public Health and Health Equity (MPH-HE), die zich richt op professionals die werken in gezondheidszorgsystemen en internationale organisaties. Daarnaast ondersteunt KIT met beurzen en ontwikkelingsprogramma's, zoals het KIT Fund en het feministische trainingsprogramma Feminist Edge dat in samenwerking met UN Women wordt uitgevoerd. Het instituut organiseert ook congressen en biedt een kenniscentrum waar maatschappelijke en gezondheidsvraagstukken centraal staan. Hiermee bevordert KIT het oplossen van complexe publieke gezondheidsuitdagingen en draagt het bij aan maatschappelijke ontwikkeling wereldwijd. |
